We decided on the font we wanted to use, although he had drawn up an idea we found it hard to do on photoshop so we looked the internet for a font and we found this font on dafont.com
called Pulse it works perfectly for our film. Everything is starting to take place :)

Looking into other opening title sequences.
I decided to look into other opening title sequences to get an understanding into what they should be or look like. The Sixth Sense opening title sequence that I looked at, was creepy and setted the atmosphere it was a point of view looking at buildings, the font they used was simple but as it dissolved it created a spooky atmosphere. It was also in black and white which also helped to create tension and hold the audience attention. I am think of doing my sequence in black and white.

Work of Kyle Cooper
After researching Kyle Cooper, I started looking into work he has done, the title sequence he created for Spiderman I really enjoyed not only did i enjoy it because its one of my favourite films but because of the font and pictures he used. The font made me feel like it was flies trapped in a spider web they were spaced out with the actors names in captial letters to make them stand out they also fly away at the end which adds to the feeling of trapped flies that I get. The colours used are black and white with red and green. The music catches the audience attention.

What's Next
Location: A flat in Dartford, it had two bedrooms and is a modern flat, we choose this flat as it sets the mood for the lonely doctor. It sets the tone for a bachelor pad, and is ideal for a doctor living on his own.
Costume and Props: The doctor's main costume is a suit however he will also be wearing a white jacket as this is associated with a doctor. He will also be wearing a name badge that we will editing in final cut pro, to show a person's name and their position. Another prop will be a sleeping pill bottle which we will also be editing in final cut pro. We will also have a licence plate that will have the name of the film (TR4C3s).
Characters: In our title sequence there is two characters the Doctor and a female ghost. Daniel Pye will be playing the Doctor, and I will be playing the ghost.
Music: Our music will hopefully be recorded by Ian Elmslie on the piano, it will be a bed time story as this relates to the situation of the film.

Title that works
Think off a title for our sequence was hard we tried to think of words associated with ghost, we all fought of a title then then shared it with the other members in our group. The titles we fought off wasn't the one we choose fun enough :). So we had to think of some more titles that we all liked. Then we fought of the title Traces which we all liked we choose traces as a ghost can leave traces behind them :) it sounded good at the time :).....

Logline for Opening Title Sequence Coursework
Have you ever seen a ghost?
Our film is called 'Traces' and is the story of a doctor who makes an unforgivable mistake. In his fatal mistake a women's life ends. Now she is dead, she comes back to haunt him and makes his life a misery. But is she dead in reality or really only in his mind?. Will it be a story that ends in tragedy? or does it end happily ever after?
Our film is a thiller/supernatural, and shows the story of the cross between afterlife and reality.
We see how one man's suffering tells an unbelievable story.

Se7en
Mise-En-Scene
In media I watched the opening credits to the film Se7en, The main actors Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt are both shown as being opposite to each other, Morgan Freeman's character is smart dressed, hardworking, and secretive we can tell this as the clothes he wears are smart and tidy, he hides his belonges e.g gun, knife and badge. The sence opens in Morgan's house we see a clean but no life kitchen and a simple bedroom, his belongs in his house are all placed in a precise place. His kitchen is pure white, his bedroom is cream and dull this could suggest Morgan Freeman's character has no life, a boring dull life and all items in his house has a fuction. In his kitchen we see a chess game set up.
On the other hand Brad Pitt's character is untidy with his shirt untucked and buttons on his coat undone, he is the complete opposite to Morgan Freeman's character, Brad Pitt's character shows off his gun, knife and badge. They both fight for highest status. When they are walking side to side we see Morgan Freeman's Character contains in the same stried as Brad Pitt's character is all jumpy and all over the place. In the whole sence there is no bright colours with them all dull, when the two main characters are outside it is raining. In side the room where the murder is comitted it is yet again all black and white this makes the red blood on the wall stand out and catch the audiences eye. The location is hiden, its the other side of new york we don't tend to see. The weather is doomy, glommy and depressing. The members of the public we see outside are all in dark colours this adds to the depressing mood.
On the kitchen we see a picture of a small boy this could suggest a small boy saw the murder. In the title credits we watch the killer plan his murders, we see him note down things in a book as everything is in codes, we cuts off his finger tips which will wipe away his finger prints. The killer cuts out the word God this suggests its about good or bad. The music is fast and creppy and involves the word god.

Final Continuity Sequence
This is my final continuity sequence. I think it worked well because, in contrast to the first draft it includes all the required shots we needed and meets the continuity sequence brief. We decided to include music and dance in our sequences as we wanted our piece to be unique from other people's.
